The Pfizer Plant Research Laboratory keeps the Garden at the forefront of botanical science by serving as a site for the most advanced plant science research and by attracting the brightest scientists and graduate students from around the world. The Garden's Commodore Matthew Perry Graduate Studies Program, which now includes more than 40 Ph.D. candidates, is housed here along with the state-of-the-art Cullman Laboratories for molecular and genomics research. The lab’s facilities are used by scientists in a wide range of exciting fields such as plant systematics, anatomy, chemistry, medicinal botany, and conservation genetics.
